I've built your dream spring capsule collection
A 36-piece curated closet featuring RED and a shimmery vintage copycat
Hi and happy Wednesday!
So much to chat about today, from a spot-on vintage copycat to a full capsule collection. Nothing to do about it but dive right in so let’s get to it!
I saw this pop up on Laurel Pantin’s IG dispatch from Paris Fashion Week and imagine my surprise when I scrolled all the way to the end of her carousel! Hark! What’s this?

A vintage cardigan! That I both own and have shared on this newsletter on two separate occasions! My gob was fully smacked when I saw what I assume is the Valentino presentation. I am FULLY on board if the fashion world starts taking no-name vintage seriously. I’ve followed Laurel ever since I saw a street snapshot of her from The Sartorialist - not only does she have an eye for shimmer, her entire approach to getting dressed is drenched in FUN. A joy to behold. I don’t know if you subscribe to
’s newsletter, Earl Earl, but this newsletter from Monday really struck a note with me, too. In the meantime, if you want to twin with both me and Valentino, here are three of those glorious, sequined cardigans:I’ve written a few of these capsule collections but it’s been two years since the last one. This one is by far the largest, and with the most color! As I was gathering items for this week’s newsletter I noticed I was feeling the old familiar pull to style items instead of just sharing a big list with you (the heart wants what it wants).
I’ve not written many notes about why I chose what I chose, but put your stylist cap on and you can see that most of these pieces will match and work with a minimum of 10 looks, which is not inconsequential. Dresses can be worn under skirts and shirts, tops can be layered, and all of it will look incredible. You’ll absolutely need to click the image so you can see the finer details of each piece.
