Hi and happy…Monday?

I want to start this week and apologize for my lack of consistency lately. Since opening the store, I haven’t had the same amount of time during the week to dedicate to this beaut and it keeps getting deferred to the weekend when I have a little more breathing room. Things are settling out a little more with the store and I believe I can get back on track with Friday, but just in case I can’t keep up, how would you feel if this newsletter started getting published on Sundays? Sundays are full days in Substackland, so I don’t know if being inundated with another one would be too much? If you have a moment, please let me know!

Regardless, what I have for you today is just some outfits I feel like wearing right now! Nothing trendy or buzzword-y, just six cool outfits that, with the last weekend of sub-90s weather, are getting me excited for a change of season. The looks start more high key and eventually get very low key, so you can pick your effort level.

Before that is a sweet and petite little Sex & the City copycat because I can’t not answer the siren song of a Carrie Bradshaw look.

Happy shopping!

*ps don’t forget items marked with an asterisk received a discount!*

White tank (all sizes), $25 // Carole Little floral slip skirt (xs-m), $21 // Embossed croc bag, $20// Coach tan sandals (11), $75*

This is such a sleeper look for Carrie but I’ve always loved the bold graphic nestled in a blank, white look. It gives this cool skirt the center stage so when I happened upon this similar slip skirt, I obviously had to engage full copycat mode. The tank is a great basic, the heeled sandals can be worn a million different ways, and because you can’t find a Fendi baguette for under $800, I opted for this embossed croc bag with a cool shape. This look doesn’t come with Jon Bon Jovi, but honestly I think we’re all better off for it.

Look One

Black leather shell, $25 // DKNY sheer spaghetti strap dress (sm), $35 // Norma Kamali split-front flares (m-xl), $43.50 // Stuart Weitzman buckle slides (7), $33

I love the challenge of styling a sheer piece. There’s always interesting layers to be had! I love the toughness of this leather shell top over the diaphanous dress, a real ‘leather & lace’ kind of vibe. Under the dress, I would then throw on these stretchy Norma pants with a split front for another visual delight. To get the proportions just right, I would probably hem the dress to be a true midi. Then just pop on some heeled slides, and you have a look that is considered, layered, and a textural playground.

Look Two

Sterling modernist earrings, $60 // Oatmeal cashmere mock neck (xs/s), $24* // The Limited grey belted miniskirt (m), $22 // Enzo Angiolini beige leather mules (6), $50*

I have sold so many sleeveless turtlenecks in the last three days. Tis the season! And love that this one is a lightweight cashmere - comfortable, breathable, and luxe. Since it’s still warm out, I figured a little miniskirt was a good way to go and I always love when a bottom has a matching belt, feels like you’ve already got an easy step up when styling! Add some modernist earrings and low-heeled mules and you have a look that seems high end for under $150 total.
