Welcome to In conversation with… a new monthly series where I chat vintage, shopping, and style with cool and exciting people who are making waves in their respective fields.

Today’s subject is Anna Gray, the founder of Club Vintage, whom I met and worked with for years at now-defunct Object Limited. Anna has been featured in the New York Times and The Cut, and has her own newsletter, Things I Would Buy if I Din’t Have to Pay Rent. Anna is as brilliant, curious, and ebullient as she seems and I cherish any time I can peek into her brain (and closet). Follow her on Instagram here and Club Vintage here.

In a top found in this RGV newsletter!

3. Favorite vintage home item you own:

Probably my Mies van der Rohe dining chairs that I found in an antique mall in Cape Cod and had my sweet, selfless brother drive back to NYC for me (featured here in Clever!).

Single Mies van der Rohe chair, $472 // Van der Rohe-style set of 2, $892 // Tecta rattan cantilever set of 3, $1133 // Set of 4 cantilever chairs, $606

4. Piece you regret buying and why?

None - everything has its moment.
