Yes to fisherman sandals!! I bought a vintage Cole Haan pair last year and am in love - agree that rich cognac color is where it's at. The G.H. Bass ones are really lovely too. I like to style them with jeans and a tee for a transitional spring/fall look, and with my pleated linen shorts and a cropped cotton tank in summer.

Not sure I am ready for the fisherman sandals, but I'll second the recommendation to look for shoes in the men's! I recently bought my first pair of men's, a really awesome pair of vintage burgundy loafers (Bass) and I love them!
Oh I completely understand - they're definitely not for everyone! I found a pair of men's Cole Haan patent oxfords and let's just say I don't know if I've ever gasped so loudly in a thrift store haha
