Hi and happy Friday!
If you missed it, Tuesday was a big celebration of the humble crewneck sweatshirt. I styled five looks to take you through a week of wear, and a roundup of some extra options - short and long sleeve, alike! Today’s newsletter has the reemergence of an old favorite, ‘Vintage Copycat’, and a ‘Things I Like’ that includes seven sets for seven very different occasions. Still a little divergent from the usual fare with color and prints abounding, but I guess that’s summer speaking to me? Finally, below that is a little sneak peek of an upcoming story sale on IG - stay tuned!
Happy shopping!
Not that I need an excuse to share pinstripes, suits, or pinstripe suits, but the last week saw not one, but two excellent displays of a 3-piece pinstripe suit and as this is a sets-heavy newsletter, I figured I should share these here! Love the power of wearing them all together, but you know the beauty of suits is the millions of ways you can mix-and-match each piece!
1. Tan pinstripe short suit, $88. The summer suit of our collective dreams.
2. Gold & black flower shell, $36. So cute! Would be great with some pinstripe pants…
3. Red silk Ann Taylor dress, $75. Eat your heart out, Cher Horowitz’s Alaïa.
4. GIANT brutalist sterling ball chain earrings, $40. LOVE the use of ball chains, a design I associate with the chokers of my youth.
5. Ungaro silk bandana print blouse, $56. I shared one of these in a previous newsletter, so if you missed the first one, here’s another chance! This is silk bandana print, people! Don’t sleep on being the chicest cowgirl in town.
6. Orla Kiely flower Doc-alikes, $30. So cute and fun!
7. Smocked black & silver dress, $85. I’m imagining this in Mexico City, wandering from gallery to gallery with some black espadrilles and #18.
8. Grey check skort suit, $20. Slouchy, cool, and as one person I overheard in a thrift store say recently, “it has those skirts that are shorts!”
9. Red stretch tank/skirt set, $58. Greet the impending hot summer nights with this hot summer set.
10. Hand print terry cloth coverup, $16. So! Goofy! I! Love! Vintage!
11. Givenchy for Saks G print button down, $65. Click the link to see the little print - a nice touch to elevate a simple button down.
12. Silk grid print tank, $11. Sometimes something can just be simple and cute.
13. Grid print skirt set, $75. More grid! Go wild and pair it with #12.
14. Kelly green 3-piece skirt set, $45. This has a vest, too, but I especially love the combo of the button-front skirt and button down. Also a great candidate for black espadrilles.
15. Red silk trousers, $20. Like #12 before it, sometimes something can just be simple and chic.
16. Double breasted striped vest, $28 + Minishorts, $35. A set I made myself but they’re the same designer, so I say this is how it always should have been: with the mini-est of shorts and a good black patent loafer.
17. Holographic butterfly slides, $48. The ones from a couple weeks ago flew and these are on sale!
18. Lily sterling earrings, $39. Gorgeous and evocative and would look amazing with dark hair.
19. Lee sherbet sweatshirt short set, $35. Do you all still do slumber parties as adults? If not, I highly recommend for maximum fun. In which case, I would also recommend this set as your sleepover ‘fit.
20. Agatha Brown abstract skirt, $50. Very Dries meets goth Marimekko.
21. Oatmeal ribbed tank, $30. How good with #15? Tan + red is a favorite color combo.
22. Ann Marino purple feather heels, $25. Would be an excellent addition of levity to a 3-piece pinstripe suit…
And finally, here’s a lil sneak peek of what’s coming in RGV’s next story sale. Follow here!
Thanks as always for being here and have a great weekend! xx Maggie
