Hi and a very happy Sunday!
This is just dropping a note to say that my spring collection has launched! I co-hosted a big preview party with Shop Chunk, a gorgeous vintage furniture studio, where I’m celebrating my collection launch with a weekend-long pop-up. This drop, this photoshoot, and this weekend’s pop-up have been in the works for months and to see it come to fruition with such gusto is beyond gratifying. I mean, my cup is so overflowing I need a kiddie pool to catch it all.
Here’s the Pinterest board I used as inspiration for the photoshoot:
Unexpected color combinations, good suiting, and bold bold bold.
The idea for the shoot came from finding the plaid dress featured in the header image. It’s bright, modern, with an almost seersucker-like fabric. I couldn’t just let it not be seen and knew it would be a great centerpiece for a photoshoot. You know I’m usually a neutral girly (see this or this photoshoot) but I’ve experimented with minimal colorblocking here before and have always wanted to bring it to life. I wanted the shoot to be bright and stark - a very white backdrop against the bright colors - I wanted it to look like a Gap ad from thee early 00s! And once I started looking for appropriate pieces, it was hard to turn my cheek to any color! And as I found more and more, the photoshoot got bigger and bigger! Four models, 35 full looks, and a veryyyy long shoot day. I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished.
