*Editor’s note: I actually wrote this Friday and scheduled the post to publish yesterday but accidentally scheduled it for today! I realized it yesterday afternoon but felt like it was too late in the day to publish, so apologies for the delay!*
Hi and happy Sunday!
As I mentioned last Sunday, I’m in the midst of my own personal wedding season! Four friend weddings in four weeks! And because of my many marital events, I’ve been thinking a lot about wedding attire. I’m rarely a dress-wearer, so I always feel a little at odds with classic wedding guest looks. It wasn’t until last Monday when I found this vintage Ungaro suit (!) at a thrift store (!!) for $25(!!!) that I kind of struck mental styling gold. I always espouse suits & sets, and even own multiple options, but it never really occurred to me that it could be a wedding guest look for me. Dream styling and personal styling are two different things and I’m just as shocked as you that it took me this long to find both my sartorial path and my perfect suit. I only took one, not great photo of the suit, but I figured I would share it regardless:
As soon as I found it I knew I wanted to focus the newsletter on suits, so here we are! Today I’ll be taking two suits, dissecting them, and styling each piece in the suit to show how versatile they are. Then, when I was recently in New York I saw so many pedal pusher pants, and found two sets to style, as well. And finally, there’s a round-up of 13 suits & sets to shop that would be perfect this fall.
Happy shopping!
