Hi and happy Tuesday!
I’m not much of a follower of holiday sales. Shopping on mainly resale sites with small businesses behind them all, I kind of just buy and seek out deals rather than waiting for them to find me. But I was recently bopping around Noihsaf Bazaar’s website and found a cute little vintage sweatshirt on sale. Not realizing they had such a prolific sale section, I started digging and dug what I found! So to have some styling fun while also saving us all some cash, here are three styled looks, six ‘One-two punches,’ and a small selection of outerwear for ‘Things I Like’ all built exclusively from Noihsaf Vintage! This is not a paid collab or anything, I’m just so appreciative that they exist and how great their curation is.
This newsletter is going out to all subscribers because as I (sadly) noted in Friday’s newsletter, I’ll be moving RGV to paid-only subscription on Sept. 15 and wanted free subscribers to get a glimpse at what a paid subscription provides. Thank you for being here in whatever capacity!
Happy shopping!
The star of the show is this Jil Sander jacket that is perfectly cropped and structured for fall. With a lil merino tank, basic black jeans, and black booties, you’ve got a great, chic, everyday look for fall. Pop the jacket off if you’re hot and you look kickass. But also imagine the jacket zipped all the way up, with a white turtleneck poking out, ovoid khakis and some chunky oxfords? Directional and weird. This jacket can do it all!
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: some of the best vintage suiting out there is from Giorgio Sant’Angelo. And this outfit has two of his pieces from two different sellers! Red and khaki is a classic color combo and when you add platform cage wedges and a simple chain, you’ve got a look that is easily powerful - you’re comfortable but with a sharp aesthetic.
I’m a palazzo freak, so of course one of these outfits has a pair. The chunkiness and crop of this Marc Jacobs sweater is proportioned perfectly with these high waist pleated palazzos. Having some gold hardware on your loafers peek out from the pants is a nice touch, and since the sweater is short sleeve you’ve got plenty of real estate for bracelets! I have a ring that buckles like this and it is one of my favorite pieces! In bracelet form? Even better.
1. Charcoal cashmere vneck, $75 + Esprit grey pinstripe pants, $40. Texture on texture! Pringle’s cashmere is *deluxe* cashmere and this is a steal. Love it french-tucked into some grey pinstripes.
2. Brown sweater vest, $32 + Patchwork leather pants, $20. 00s-does-70s dream duo! I can’t believe the price of these patchwork pants, and when paired with the handmade sweater? Love.
3. Charcoal mens overcoat, $64 + Black minimal mockneck dress, $42. Long and lithe and dark and demure. Basically how I want to dress for fall.
4. Black leather blazer, $40 (another here for $60) + Black crepe vest, $20. Add any bottoms to this duo and you’ve got a killer look. Jeans? Trousers? Slip skirt? Miniskirt? It all works.
5. Levi’s cropped striped tee, $32 + Brown silk button-front midiskirt, $48. This is just fun and flirty and would look great in a fall breeze with some fall leaves.
6. Gold Ciner ‘bead’ choker, $80 + Black minimal sack dress, $44. Very Cos-does-The-Row but in vintage!
1. Wrangler denim jacket, $44. A heritage piece for a steal! A shrunken fit that needs a lil mockneck underneath.
2. Brown two-tone suede jacket, $48. SO. CUTE. The dual color and crop fit!
3. Navy oversized linen blazer, $39. Almost bought this one myself. Love the oversized cut. Great over a tshirt, with jeans.
4. Olive trapeze silk/cotton jacket, $90. Ditto above, but with this gorgeous olive color.
5. Levi’s ski jacket, $40. So 70s and cute! Like #2, the dual color and crop fit makes it so modern.
6. Lee denim duster, $55. Classicclassicclassic.
7. Ribbed navy coat, $50. Like a robe coat but in wool. Looks v cool on.
Thanks so much again for being here, upgrade if you want/can, and I’ll see you Friday for Pre-fall Capsule Collection PART TWO (yes there’s more!).
xx Maggie
