Hi and happy Wednesday!
I know the fashion world was temporarily a-flutter with the recent Calvin Klein show and I have thoughts, most of which pertain to the fact that they’d be realllll easy to recreate. I’ll be doing just that for a special newsletter in the next few days.
In the meantime, a very different vibe of fashion has captured my heart: illustration. I first saw these Collina Strada pants last year and haven’t been able to get them out of my mind. I’ve set alerts and notifications to find them in my size, but to no avail (yet!). I recently happened upon a pair of them on TheRealReal (below) and figured I’d share my ongoing passion for the delightfulness of these pants. You’ll see below three ways to wear them and then below that one of my favorite recent ‘Sample Platters’ - so much brown, so much sheer, so much really good stuff.
Happy shopping!
The whimsy of these pants is undeniable - so charming and playful (and really easy to diy!). You could go all-out maximalist and mix prints, but of course I like to keep it simple and give them a center stage. Here’s three options for summer, spring, and fall:
Look 1: Tach crochet tie-front tank, $44 // Collina Strada sketch pants, $104 // By Far black leather mules, $80
Look 2: Co. silk polo, $88 // Reformation sketch jeans, $67 // Co. red suede heels, $60
Look 3: Ann Taylor brown blazer, $24 // Armani silk shacket, $46 // Stine Goya sketch pants, $52 // Billy Reid patent oxfords, $48
