Hi and happy Friday!
I’ve officially moved and am once again a Kentuckian, which is thrilling and nerve-wracking but we’re here and we’re doin’ it and hopefully big things will be made to happen! If you missed it, on Tuesday I shared a bunch of cute striped and neutral lovelies, which you can see here. I’m also planning on doing a story sale tomorrow on IG so follow along with that here!
For today’s newsletter, it all kicked off with a scorching red crochet dress and then kind of went from there - lots of reds and navys and blues in this one! With some neutrals (of course), campy animal pieces (the starfish boobs, hello!), another dress/jacket set because you loved them so much two weeks ago, and a few winter pieces before I stop sharing those altogether.
Happy shopping!
1. Red crochet open midriff dress, $36. The dress that started it all! Obvs handmade by someone spicy for someone spicy. Needs a hot summer night and lots of gold!
2. Jil Sander balloon sleeve blouse, $89. Chic chic chic. Not for nothin, they also sent me a lower offer for this one once I saved it!
3. Sonia Rykiel print scarf, $19. Gorg colors and great print! This one is cotton so it’s a great everyday piece to jazz up even the simplest outfits.
4. Starfish linen jacket, $51. I can’t. This so Moschino but for a fraction of the price! Wear to the screening of the new Little Mermaid.
5. Gold butterfly belt, $33. Reminds me of that giant brass necklace Carrie Bradshaw briefly wore.
6. Sheer leotard dress, $39. LOVE these. It’s a dance piece so it has that vibe and I say lean all the way in. Would be a really fun one for a night out dancing, just add a big belt - perhaps #5?
7. Red & blue plaid pants, $89. The colors of this pant are bold and beautiful and so fun for spring. Great with #9 or #11 or #21 or #22 or…
8. Tan suede cropped jacket, $60. Another chic chic chic. Great cut and pockets.
9. Perfect red button down, $25. Need I say more?
10. St. John marabou stripe knit skirt, $89. St. John gets funky! Love this little flamboyant touch. So good with #16 unbuttoned all the way.
11. Thin electric blue sweatshirt, $15.30. I don’t know if you know this, but I live in thin vintage sweatshirts. They’re more intentional than a modern oversized one and can easily be dressed up or down. Like this would be great with jeans for a casual look but would also be amazing with #12, some beaded mules, statement earrings and a lucite clutch.
12. Liquid silver slit skirt, $15. I keep finding different iterations of clothing with this fabric and I just can’t quit them! The way this fabric catches the light is so good and this can take you anywhere!
13. Stripe trim boucle jacket, $24. The trim. Oh boy, the trim.
14. Brown & white print cropped sweater vest, $36. Just a cute little sweater vest! A favorite spring piece.
15. Navy gingham pants w belt, $24. This could go with most tops in this collage but I love the idea of pairing it with #2 for an interesting color combo.
16. Cream striped henley blouse, $40. I know this doesn’t look all that special but just imagine this worn with a tan, lots of gold necklaces, black hot pants, and strappy black sandals. So sexy and confident.
17. Angora grey stripe skirt set, $79. The stripes at the waist are what are killing me - so graphic and bold.
18. Aqua silk balloon sleeve dress, $60. Very Madame Grès or Lanvin. Excellent wedding guest look.
19. Silk floral wrap dress, $40. Sometimes things can be as easy as a cute wrap dress! Very DVF.
20. Black satin detail dress/jacket set, $37. Another dress/jacket set for you! This one slightly more formal with the satin collar and bust.
21. Navy smocked tube top, $25 (here it is in green). Summer staple.
22. Red fluttery knit tank, $18. Always a fan of a knit tank and really love the 70s feel of this one.
23. B&W floral knit tunic/pant set, $60. Click this link! This is a thin knit tunic sweater with matching pants. I mean!
As the seasons officially change, drop what you’re looking for in the comments and I’ll do my best to accommodate! Thank you all so much for being here as always and hopefully you tune in for the story sale tomorrow! xx Maggie
I love all of these so much! Also- a year or so ago I became obsessed with that big brass butterfly necklace- I believe it's Kenneth Lane, and sellers on Poshmark and Ebay were wanting upwards of $100/$200, but I kept looking and found it on Etsy for $40. It's such a striking piece!
