Really Good Vintage Straight to Your Inbox
Let me parse through every platform to find you the perfect piece
Hello and welcome!
I’ll try and keep this as short as I can, because you aren’t here for verbosity - you’re here for fashion! Of the secondhand persuasion! Which is my favorite of all things.
What this newsletter is: I started Really Good Vintage because I scour the internet constantly - nigh on every waking moment - for amazing secondhand and vintage because it brings me so much joy. I have saved away thousands of super wearable, super amazing pieces of vintage and secondhand and need an outlet for all this stuff!
The added bonus: Aside from detoxing my digital stockpile, I know combing through Ebay, Etsy, Poshmark, Depop, Object Limited, The Real Real, Vestiaire Collective, Thrilling, Grailed, ad infinitum is intimidating to many. As is the act of putting an outfit together. These are the things I love! And I’m happy to share my vintage and styling expertise with you - without any pressure to purchase. Hopefully you can glean some new ideas to put your current wardrobe to use with more confidence.
What to expect: A weekly newsletter with excellent, modern vintage to shop. Sometimes I’ll just put together a newsletter of things I like, sometimes it will have a theme, sometimes I’ll take one hero piece and style it four or five different ways. Regardless, you’ll have affordable & eco-friendly inspiration at your disposal. And I don’t care about labels - designer and archival stuff is great - but so, too, are the many nameless or work-a-day labels that are cool, interesting, less expensive, more size-inclusive and just really. good. vintage.
My background: Started working in a vintage shop in Kentucky 15 years ago and never looked back! Managed a big shop, owned my own online store, acted as both editorial and personal stylist through it all, and have had the pleasure of planning vintage pop-ups around NYC the last couple of years.
What I love: 90s minimalism, 80s shoulders, trousers, 70s decor, the color brown, voluminous silhouettes, neutral palettes, sheer everything, cashmere, silk, layers, stripes, exaggerated proportions, masculinity, legs, plywood, brogues and gold! and sequins!
My inspiration board:
Stay tuned each Friday for a new (vintage) newsletter in your inbox with all kinds of good stuff to shop!
Thank you for being here xx
Maggie
I've been trying to not buy anything new for about a year --- big fan of secondhand shopping, been using some fun tools to make it easier like the chrome extension that finds me resale alternatives for the items I'm looking at as I shop bit.ly/Phia
Hope this is helpful for people!
