Hello and happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone swimmingly! This was a nice catch-up week for me that brought news of two upcoming pop-ups AND a date for the IG story sale! First things first: next Thursday, June 22, paid subscribers will get first access to everything I’m listing on IG and then Friday it will be open and posted on IG for all! In case you forgot, here’s a little sneak peek of what will be included:
For irl shopping: Saturday July 1, I’ll be popping up at West Sixth Brewing NULU in Louisville and Saturday July 15, I’ll be part of the Drunken Flea in Lexington! So many things, Kentucky - and world! Hope to you’re as excited as I am!
But back to the newsletter - in case you missed it, Tuesday we had a return to minimalism, with five styled outfits for your perusing. The simplicity streak continues today with a handful of simple, but really very good pieces for all occasions. There’s some Marimekko, some silk (obvs), some more modernist earrings, and a surprising amount of dresses.
Happy shopping!
1. B&W beaded polka dot palazzos, $48. I included a close-up of the beaded polka dot here because the photo doesn’t do these stunners justice. So simple, so effective.
2. White crinkle bodycon dress, $84. I don’t mean to always think bridal when I see a white dress but how cool would this be on a bride?! For like, a reception dinner or brunch or something. Just add the earrings from #12!
3. Hammered sterling hoops, $25. These just look like they have a satisfying heft to them. A classic shape with a modern texture.
4. Dancing figures blouse, $32. As far as prints go, I love figural ones. I have two blouses and a dress that feature faces and/or bodies, and I love the starkness of this one - and the color! Wear now with some oatmeal linen (#15?) or in the fall with brown leather pants.
5. Marimekko brown & white animal print sundress, $95. The least animal print animal print there is! Vaguely zebra but mostly just graphic and easy and breezy! Perfect for your morning coffee, people-watching in La Barceloneta.
6. White side cutout minidress, $48. Whereas this little dress would be perfectly at home vintage shopping in Berlin!
7. Black sheer asymmetric dress, $45. LOVE the peekaboo factor of this dress! You end up showing off a lot of leg but it’s so subtle! Where in the world would she land? I think a opening night for an exhibit at MOT in Tokyo. With sleek, low bun and #11.
8. White ruffle two piece skirt set, $56. Ok now I’m really enjoying putting these pieces in places. So, Puerto Rico, here she comes! Wear the skirt high/mid/low depending on your desire and then eat often, drink well, and stay out late.
9. Newspaper print button down, $35. Very Carrie without the all the dRaMa.
10. Black beaded cowl tank, $40. The quality of this top is top tier. I can tell just from the photos that the drape of this is excellent and it will shimmer like black mercury both day and night.
11. Sterling modernist bean earrings, $25. Can’t get enough of bean earrings lately!
12. Gold modernist earrings, $20. Or folded shapes!
13. Woven T-strap flats, $25. The weave on this sandal is killer and it vaguely reminds me of The Row or Khaite or Rosetta Getty. But $25!
14. B&W beaded net dress, $46. This needs either a rave in Ibiza or a pastry-tasting with friends.
15. Oatmeal linen trousers, $60. Near pitch-perfect classics, with attached belt (which you know I love!).
16. Butter cross vest tunic set, $49. Very Armani but summer butter edition.
17. Pinstripe Marimekko sleeveless dress, $90. I know Marimekko is Finnish, but I could see this on a bike with these shoes in Copenhagen.
18. Cream raw silk skirt suit, $68. George Georgiou is well-know for his chic, simple, raw silk designs. This one is a steal.
19. Lace strip cami, $45. In need of an accompanying Edwardian-style skirt, stat!
Thanks as always for being here and keep an eye out for all the sales coming soon! Have a great weekend xx Maggie
