Welcome to In conversation with… a monthly series where I chat vintage, shopping, and style with cool and exciting people who are making waves in their respective fields.

Today’s subject is Harling Ross Anton who created the stick of butter style heard ‘round the world. She really needs no introduction, but Harling currently writes the newsletter, Gumshoe, where she curates vintage fashion and home home goods and shares her styling tips. She regularly contributes to The Cut, and was most recently featured in The Times UK. She also recently styled the spring capsule collection for M.M.Lafleur which you can shop here.

I’ve been a huge fan ever since her days at Man Repeller and it’s hard not to be inspired by her brilliant mind! The deft print-mixing, the marriage of classic prep with boho ease - but don’t forget the sharp suiting! All in joyous colors with the best hair in the biz. There’s not a button down or a miniskirt that she can’t make look elevated and the sheer number of white and cream separates I’ve bought thanks to her is embarrassing. Follow her on Instagram, visit her website, and sign up for her newsletter here.
