A sheer blazer, a backless mini, and a trouser or two

Summer solstice part 2 drop is here!

Hi and happy Friday!

Here it is, the second installment of the summer solstice drop! Below, accompanying each look from the drop are some non-RGV jewels for you to shop this week, too. I’ve been very into modernist earrings these days, so expect much of that. Think lots of weird shapes and sterling silver. Under each image is a link to the RGV pieces for sale and hopefully you find some baubles along the way!

RGV: Cropped white linen blouse + Chic black column skirt +

For this buttoned-up, The Row-inspired look, I would stick with earrings that take up a lot of real estate but that are worn high and tight above the collar of this incredible crisp, cropped linen blouse.

RGV: Black stretchy backless minidress +

The neckline is high and the back is wide open. You could definitely add some big earrings but if you want your hair down, I’d go with a choker of the gold variety. Keep it a little special with a horse bit or a wiggle, but keep it tight to the neck.

RGV: Sand linen vest tunic + Ivory linen drawstring pants +

This is the slouchy cool linen look to live in all summer. Very ‘I-just-ran-popped-in-after-my-ceramics-class-and-just-threw-on-these-earrings’ look. Unbothered and arty!

RGV: Ab-baring black blouse + Heathered oatmeal trousers +

I love this look because it marries bookish (pants) with sex appeal (top). The top is so good in that it shows just the smallest sliver of abs, so I would take advantage of it. I would add a simple lariat and have it draped below the blouse, so the bottom of the necklace hangs nicely in that lil triangle of skin.

RGV: Sheer taupe blazer + Taupe silk woven tank + Brown crinkle tea-length skirt +

1. Small modernist sterling half hoops, $38 // 2. Puffy silver hoops, $20 // 3. Small wide sterling silver hoops, $22

This look already has plenty of textures and real estate with the sheer blazer, silk woven tank, and crinkle skirt. So, like the first look, I’d keep the earrings high and tight but not showy. Enter: sweet, small, silver hoops.

RGV: Black asymmetric boned bustier + Ivory silk slouchy trousers +

1. Modernist bronze sunburst, $48 // 2. Matte ball hoops, $23 // 3. Starburst and pearly drop earrings, $23

Clearly I was feeling a starburst for this slouchy and sleek look, with asymmetric bustier and silk trousers. They are lowkey enough to be a great backdrop for big, showy earrings. Thus, the starburts!
