Hi all!
This week has been a bit bonkers for me (it was my birthday!) so the usual downtime I set aside to work on this passion project has been usurped by more-than-usual socializing. This is a very roundabout way of telling you this week’s newsletter looks a little different. I didn’t have the energy to put looks together so below you’ll just find a whole bunch of stuff I like! I’ve also had multiple requests for more summer dresses, so there are quite a few great ones (if I do say so myself) and hopefully they resonate with you! There really is no easier way to get dressed than with a dress and the ones below range from super casual to super sexy - a little somethin for everyone.
Have a great safe weekend and don’t forget to subscribe below if you haven’t already!
From top left to right:
1. White broderie anglaise summer dress, $31.80. Please do yourself a favor and click this link. The details of this dress, from the suspender-like straps to the buttons down the back of the skirt to the various manipulations of the fabric? I’m not romantic by nature but this one is true love.
2. Tony Bianco minimalist sandals, $25. Size 10! Teeny tiny minimal straps! These will be cool forever!
3. Tan silk suit, $108. A little pricier than I normally share but a fabulous suit if you’re in the market!I would wear this with a tissue-thin white tank in the summer and then a bold cherry red turtleneck in the fall.
4. B&W Matisse print silk sarong dress, $80. You all loved the abstract print dress from last week, so I wanted to share more great options! This Nora Noh silk dress uses the Matisse La Gerbe leaf prints so you can be an actual walking work of art.
5. Cacharel chiffon palazzos, $60. These are pants! And really pretty swishy ones, at that! This color may seem tricky but pairing these with white, dark khaki, ochre, pale sky blue, or baby pink runs the gamut from minimal neutral coolness to surprising color combo dynamism (prints would be welcome, too!).
6. Gold mesh belt, $50. Like the rhinestone belt from last week, this gold mesh belt is such a fun way to add some sneaky glam into any outfit.
7. Ellen Tracy red knit crop vest, $20. Not even a classic, but it feels like it? Perfect little spring top that I would pair with the suit from #3! Or quite literally any other pant!
8. Italian cream belted dress, $50. This feels so Prada to me (come questo) and I love this because it’s a simple white shift with a cool detail - classic with a twist! This is Italian vintage and to that I say, “from whence it came!” Go wander Florence in this beauty and eat potato chips and drink Aperol Spritzes. Do it for me and you and the dress.
9. Striped shorts, $40. Lil cuties and you know I’m a sucker for a stripe!
10. Nicole Miller abstract print dress, $45. One more abstract print dress I found for you, in a summer-friendly drape rayon. I love the asymmetric ruching at the shoulder and hem and this is a “do-it-all” dress meaning it can take you from work to play to casual to semi-formal and all you have to do is put it on!
11. Malene Birger asymmetric strap dress, $64. Please see reasoning from #8 as to why this hits the sartorial spot. Sleek body con dress? Meh, seen it. Sleek body con dress with interesting strap? I’m all in! The first reason to wear it is because it would look amazing with #2 and the second reason is because…
12. Black leather glove flats, $39. Sometimes I regret sharing things on here because they get bought and then I think, “you should have just bought this for yourself” and I’ll let you guess as to why I bring this up now.
13. Tan belted vest dress, $62. Well this one can’t come as a surprise to you. You know this checks all the boxes for me and I wish I had slightly smaller boobs so I could wear this all summer. Someone wear this as the daytime counterpart to #11!
14. Navy button-front Cacharel skirt, $26. Precious! Twirly! Pockets!
15. White cropped polo top, $14. I would never presume to keep cute, affordable crop tops from you. Wear with #20 & #21 (which I accidentally styled together in this collage and I love it).
16. Ombre orange/brown mesh dress, $23. This is the kind of dress where if I saw someone wearing it I would have to go up to them and gush about how good they looked. Imagine this with a slip dress underneath and it’s great. Imagine it with a crop top underneath and a midi pencil skirt over top and it’s great. Or imagine it with just a bathing suit underneath and it’s great.
17. White drop waist dress, $26. I added this one for a specific friend who asked me to share good summer dresses and I really hope she likes what I picked out for her (or you!). I have this in navy otherwise this would never have been shared and would be sitting in my closet!
18. Bootleg Nike ring, $17. Just do it.
19. Sage Cache wide leg pants, $20. I love these for the belt loops first, the wide leg second, and the price third.
20. Pleated belted khakis, $48. Grandpas everywhere will be green with envy!
21. Co. cream leather flats, $56. Run, don’t walk, to - and in - these Co. flats! A very favorite modern brand of mine and so very rarely under $100. And in unworn condition!
22. Cream linen asymmetric vest, $18. Sometimes when I write these little blurbs I’m like, “they know, they get it.” So. You know, you get it.
23. Red/orange gingham robe & dress set, $78. So outside the norm of what I share but I love this! The dress is clingy gingham goodness on its own but envisage this with the robe: you’re hosting a backyard barbecue with big sunglasses on, swanning around and hostess-ing effortlessly, cocktail and hotdog in hands. The dream.
24. Alberta Ferretti sheer strip tank, $13.75. This is part one of the Trilogy of Transparency™. This tank is for when you really want to show off everything but the boobs.
25. Black sheer-top tank, $13. Part two in the Trilogy of Transparency™: This tank is for when you want to just show some clavicle.
26. Black sheer button down, $38. Part three in Trilogy of Transparency™: This is for when you really want to show off everything but the boobs, but loose.
27. Cream raw silk jumpsuit, $40. Loosey goosey but fancy schmancy.
28. Vintage Perry Ellis striped shirt/skirt set, $30. Click! This! Link! These photos do a horrible job of showing how cute this linen set is! It’s a wide stripe button down with a ~slightly~ mismatched stripe skirt and these pieces by the master of stripes won’t let you down!
29. Cream silk sarong-front dress, $79. Who knew Ann Taylor could be so chic? (Me.)(You.)(Ann.)
30. Navy Fila vneck sweater, $30. I know this doesn’t quite match the vibe of the rest of this collage, but I live in my vintage athletic sweaters. I have an Adidas and a Lacoste one and they add an insouciant yet playful edge to any outfit. Would be just as cute with #19 as it would be over #8.
31. Blue crepe double slit dress, $45. Oohlala! The 90s does the 20s! Gathered crepe fabric which means it hangs well, in a bold color which means it brings joy well, and those double leg slits means it brings the sexy factor well.
That’s it this week! As always, let me know if you buy anything on here and tag me on Instagram, too! Not for my own shameless self-promotion but because I love vintage and I love when you love the vintage I love. I love this shit!
Always a great and affordable collection!
I only found you recently, and I have to say – I'm obsessed with these roundups. everything is soooo good, I wish I could buy it ALL. thank you, thank you
